- The Spanish Foreign Affairs Minister, Miguel Ángel Moratinos, opened the 19th ACP-EU Joint Parliamentary Assembly in Tenerife on Monday, along with the body’s two co-presidents, Louis Michel and Charles Milupi.
During the course of the weekend, the members of the working party which form part of the European Union- Africa-Caribbean-Pacific (ACP) assembly signed a joint statement asking for the viability for a single financial instrument for development cooperation to be examined, to enbale the difficulties arising from using FEDER funds for this purpose to be overcome.
