Programme
The Spanish Foreign Affairs Minister, Miguel Ángel Moratinos, opened the 19th ACP-EU Joint Parliamentary Assembly in Tenerife on Monday, along with the body’s two co-presidents, Louis Michel and Charles Milupi. During the course of the weekend, the members of the working party which form part of the European Union- Africa-Caribbean-Pacific (ACP) assembly signed a joint statement asking for the viability for a single financial instrument for development cooperation to be examined, to enbale the difficulties arising from using FEDER funds for this purpose to be overcome.

The assembly is taking place form 29 March to 1 April.
