Informal Meeting of Ministers for Housing and Urban Development

- Ministers, directors-general and urban development experts (a delegation consists of a minister, a director-general and an expert) from the ministries responsible for urban development in the twenty-seven Member States and three Candidate States, European Institutions (Committee of the Regions (DG REGIO), European Environment Agency (EEA), European Investment Bank (EIB), EESC, etc.) and other associations and relevant bodies in matters of European urban development.
- Programme
- The meeting will take place over two days, on 21 and 22 June. On 22 June, which is dedicated to urban development, the focus will be on the European Urban Agenda: implementing the Leipzig Charter, continuing with the European Urban Knowledge Network (EUKN), etc. The final presentation of the European Sustainable Cities Reference Framework is scheduled to take place; the framework is an operational tool for promoting sustainability in cities, which represents the conclusion of the intensive technical work begun in 2008 when it was proposed by the French Presidency.
