Programme: The seminar will take place on 7 and 8 June and will study the possibility of establishing guidelines to direct the development of regulated training systems for Audiovisual Heritage preservation, restoration and management professionals. The objectives of this conference are therefore as follows: to acquire knowledge regarding how other institutions, such as Museums and Libraries train their technicians to preserve and disseminate the cultural heritage objects for which they are responsible, to acquire information regarding the extent to which entities responsible for European Cultural Heritage make use of knowledge with regard to the preservation of audiovisual heritage, and to acquire knowledge regarding how educational systems integrate training in this material into their curriculums, to the extent that they do so. Lastly, European initiatives with regard to training in heritage preservation are analysed, along with the experiences of film archives in the creation of training contents.
