The finance ministers of the 27 Member States of the European Union. The meeting will be chaired by the Second Vice-President of the Government of Spain and Finance Minister, Elena Salgado.

Programme

At its informal session, the European Council for economic and financial policy will discuss a general direction for sending to the European Parliament on the Alternative Investment Fund Managers (AIFM) Directive, along with conclusions regarding the 2011 budget. The issues to be dealt with at the next European Council will also be discussed, such as the EU 2020 Strategy, modulating strategies for coming out of the economic and financial crisis in relation to the stimulus measures different countries put in place and financing climate change. At the end of the meeting, the Second Vice-President of the Government of Spain and Finance Minister, Elena Salgado, will hold a press conference.
